Community Junction (“CJ”) is a shared value programme to empower and mobilise communities to action.
The project is an adaptation and enhancement of the successful community-building programme developed and delivered by the Bendigo Bank of Adelaide and Australia.

In Australia, the opening of 324 community-owned bank branches across the nation has reversed the innumerable negative consequences of bank branch closure, delivering solutions into:
• PLACE – regenerating town centres, their high streets, local communities and economies
• HEALTH – there exists a proven link between vibrant high streets and improved public health
• WELLBEING – low-risk, low-cost enterprise opportunities and community interest deliverables have increased prosperity, eliminated the poverty premium and ensured affordable access to banking and financial services for everyone
CJ’s enhanced model will replicate the successful outcomes of the Bendigo model.
