ScaleAround is a Cardiff-based executive consultancy for growing businesses. We provide fractional and interim CxO leadership across CEO, COO, CCO and CTO roles, alongside independent technology reviews and AI governance advisory. Every engagement is led by a named senior practitioner who has held the role themselves. Founded in 2023, we work with clients across the UK.
ScaleAround works where technology, operations and commercial decisions meet, and where the gap between them is causing problems.
We take on fractional and interim executive roles, including CEO, COO, CCO and CTO, putting a senior leader into the business without the cost or commitment of a permanent hire. Alongside that we run independent technology reviews, structured assessments that give a board an evidence-based picture and a prioritised action plan, and we advise on where AI adds value and how to govern it properly.
The work is done by people who have held these roles for 15 years or more. Our advice is independent and vendor agnostic.
Oliver Smith is Founder and CEO. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society with 20 years in technology and executive leadership, mostly in fintech and scale-ups, including Interim CIO at The British Computer Society.
