We have implemented several skills initiatives to ensure the successful execution of our strategy. Our range of activities, courses and opportunities are specifically designed to inspire individuals to consider a career in FinTech. Additionally, we offer diverse solutions to FinTechs in Wales, enabling organisations to recruit fresh talent, enhance the skills of current employees, and engage with local communities to cultivate the next generation of accomplished professionals.
To support and encourage more women into tech, FinTech Wales and Chwarae Teg partnered with Code First Girls to offer the Code First Girls Programme to FinTech organisations looking to recruit female talent. The collaboration between academia and industry saw 10 women go through a 14 week, fully-funded, academy to achieve micro-degrees in Software, Data or Full-stack.
FinTech Wales works with universities all over the country to introduce students to FinTech organisations who can offer various opportunities to students considering a career in FinTech. Whether it’s offering a mentoring programme, placements or internships, the benefits between the organisation and students are endless and we’re keen to encourage everyone to get involved.
