Welsh Tech Firm de Novo Solutions Unveils AI-Driven Payroll Outsourcing for UK Education Sector

The first service under this initiative will focus on Payroll Outsourcing for the UK education sector, specifically designed for Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs).

Addressing Payroll Challenges in the Education Sector

Managing payroll within MATs presents several complexities, including compliance with evolving regulations, diverse employment contracts, and the administration of teachers’ pension schemes. The new service from de Novo Solutions aims to address these challenges by leveraging Artificial Intelligence, Oracle Cloud, and ServiceNow to create an automated and scalable payroll management solution.

Set to launch in Spring 2026, the service is expected to deliver cost efficiencies and streamline payroll processes, allowing MATs to allocate more resources towards frontline education services.

AI-Driven Shared Services and Local Investment

The new operation will be headquartered in Langstone, Newport, South Wales, contributing to the local economy through job creation. Additionally, de Novo Solutions will expand its overseas operations in Chennai, India to support the business’s scalability.

Beyond the education sector, de Novo Solutions plans to extend its Shared Services offering to Central Government departments, arms-length bodies, and Local Government, providing an alternative route for digital transformation.
