Meet the FTA Chief Negotiators on the 10th Sep – The Department for Business Trade is gauging interest in the opportunity for our members to meet with the Chief Negotiators of the UK-Türkiye Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and the UK-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) FTA. – *please contact us if you would like more information. 

Trade Missions:

Saudi Arabia, 3rd-5th September (Closed)

The Department for Business and Trade, in partnership with HM Treasury and the Saudi British Joint Business Council (SBJBC), will be running a trade mission to Saudi Arabia around 24 Fintech

Intersekt, 18-19th September

Fintech Australia are coordinating an international delegate programme that we are promoting to UK companies, which offers a discounted ticket to the conference and a range of complimentary activities. The ticket is very good value, working out at approx. £300.

Hong Kong – Your Gateway to Asia Pacific, 21- 25 October

As part of the mission, UK tech founders will visit a number of science parks with accelerators and incubators, meet counterpart Hong Kong founders and investors, and participate in a reverse pitch investor event.

Programmes:

CCR Academic-Industry Partnerships Programme – Deadline 2nd September

This programme offers 25 SMEs across the Cardiff Capital Region up to £14,000 towards the development of new products and services which will be boost economic growth, requiring a small contribution match by the SME of 10-25% depending on SME size. Key outcomes of the programme should include enterprises adopting new or improved products or services, or new to firm technologies and processes.

Future Finance Innovation Leadership Programme – scholarship places available

The Financial Services Innovation Leadership Programme is an immersive course designed for high-potential individuals working in the finance sector. Over a period of nine months, participants will engage in four two-day workshops focused on equipping them with the tools and techniques needed to identify, develop, and implement innovative productivity gains and growth opportunities within their organisations.
