On December 17th, 2024, ThinkEDI will proudly host the Diversity and Inclusion Wales Awards 2024 in sponsorship with Ogi, Wales’ very own fibre broadband network provider, a groundbreaking event that will celebrate 85 organisations and individuals who have made Wales a beacon of inclusion throughout 2024. Taking place at the iconic ICC Newport, this momentous occasion will bring together leaders and changemakers from the third sector, community interest companies (CICs), public sector, media, and private sector to shine a light on those spearheading the inclusion revolution in Wales.

A Celebration of Changemakers
From grassroots initiatives to influential organisations, the awards will honour the remarkable contributions of those who have tirelessly worked to make Wales a more inclusive place. As a highlight of the evening, the Tenovus Cancer Care Sing With Us Choir will deliver a heartwarming festive performance, setting the tone for an inspiring celebration.
Every finalist will be recognised for their invaluable efforts, and this event promises to set a new benchmark for inclusion-focused events in Wales and beyond. ThinkEDI’s co-founder Sophie Mason, a disabled entrepreneur who has bootstrapped ThinkEDI alongside Merryn Roberts-Ward, shares:

“This event is a celebration of Wales’ diverse and inclusive culture, bringing together the people who are changing Wales in so many different ways. We want this to be the blueprint for what inclusion events should look like in 2025 and beyond.”

Looking Ahead to 2025
The Diversity and Inclusion Wales Awards will not only celebrate the achievements of 2024 but will also look forward to the exciting opportunities for inclusion in 2025. This event will set a bold standard for inclusive practices across all industries, providing a model for organisations to follow.

The Launch of the ThinkEDI App
Marking another milestone, ThinkEDI will officially launch its innovative ThinkEDI App during the awards ceremony. The app is designed to simplify inclusion for customer service teams, education providers, and employers, making compliance with the Equality Act both measurable and tangible. By addressing the staggering £127 billion the UK economy spends annually on discrimination, this app promises to revolutionise the way organisations approach inclusion.
