1. Delio – Business Development Representative

Description:

Delio are hiring two business development representatives to join their existing Cardiff-based marketing team. This role will be home-based while Covid restrictions remain in place, with flexible home/office working arrangements to be agreed when regulations allow.

This is an entry-level role that will utilise the UK Government’s Kickstarter scheme. Therefore, you will need to be aged between 16-24 and meet the other qualifying criteria in order to be considered for the role.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role will be a pivotal position in Delio’s international growth strategy. The position will work closely with both the marketing and sales teams to manage an existing pipeline of engaged contacts, build their own network of prospects, and use a variety of channels to convert these to qualified sales opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work in conjunction with the marketing team to engage with prospective Delio clients that have been pre-qualified through a range of outreach activities, including email campaigns, thought leadership and webinars.
  • Utilise a variety of channels including social media, email and direct calling to build relationships with decision makers and influencers at international target organisations while raising awareness of Delio’s services.
  • Book sales appointments (both in-person and virtual) for Delio’s sales team in line with agreed qualification criteria.
  • Develop your own international network of prospective contacts and organisations in agreed territories, utilising marketing resources to support your efforts.
  • Work alongside the marketing team to take a proactive role in developing multi-channel outreach campaigns that will help Delio reach their lead generation targets.

Ship Shape are looking for a developer to work with their systems architect to build tools  that their researchers and automated services use to construct their knowledge base. Leveraging their existing dataset with NLP techniques, Ship Shape are building a targeted web crawler to strengthen their core product.

Ultimately Ship Shape need someone who understands how an engineering team works (e.g. development, Pull requests, good practice). You need to be able to write production code with minimal pick-up time for the next developer. 

Ship Shape’s Data Services technology stack is microservices-based and hosted on AWS. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Primary: Development of event-driven python microservices. Data transformation and integration development. 
  • Secondary: NLP and machine learning development. 

Must have the below, but not necessarily experience professionally i.e. can be areas of interest to you that you’ve not had the chance to use at work:

  • NLP. You need to have used libraries like Spacy, SBERT, Transformers(or similar) and Gensim and be able to fluently talk about NLP. Post grad qualifications in this area are desirable. 
  • Machine learning in general. Pytorch, Scikit-learn, etc. 
  • Data-wrangling.
