Marketing Website Production Executive

Job Title –  Marketing Website Production Executive

Confused.com is looking for an experienced Website Production Executive who will be responsible for a range of regular website content updates, website launches and best-practice initiatives via our CMS.

This is a varied and interesting role in Confused.com’s website team that works closely with many areas across our business including SEO, PPC, marketing, development, UX, design and product. It requires someone with great experience of editing websites, strong day-to-day content management experience, flawless attention to detail, excellent people skills, a drive to keep learning in all things online and pride in their work.

Responsibilities:

  • Owning and completing day-to-day content website edits, updates and launches via Confused.com’s Sitecore CMS.
  • Confidently answering CMS-based queries and tickets, assisting our content editors with website updates and CMS builds. This will include running formal CMS training, creating documentation and improving editor experience in Confused.com’s CMS.
  • Working as part of Confused.com’s small website and development team to keep the website in good technical condition and optimised.
  • Working closely with Confused.com’s UX team to champion the Confused.com written and visual brand, striving to improve the experience for customers every day.
  • Working with and interpreting the needs of various non-technical teams to deliver working solutions on our website.
  • Reporting website data to the business as required, sharing insights and suggesting improvements based on data.
  • Be part of the conversion rate optimisation team, which includes owning and launching A/B and MVT CMS tests.

About you:

  • Strong proven experience of working with content management systems.
  • Strong proven previous experience of editing websites and delivering web projects, all to the highest standards and within fixed deadlines.
  • Proven experience in supporting and training multiple content editors in updating websites via content management system/s.
  • Experience of working in an Agile development environment and working with developers, or you’re keen to develop in this area.

Confused.com is looking for a Senior Data Engineer, a role that has evolved from the role of a traditional Senior SQL Developer.

Ideally, Confused.com is looking for an experienced cloud engineer, but they would consider taking on someone who is an experienced SQL developer with the capability and drive to fill this role.

Working closely with colleagues from across the business, you’ll get the chance to expand your knowledge of different data technologies and explore new and exciting capabilities—including big data and artificial intelligence.

You’ll be working with a team of data experts tasked with fully automating a new cloud data platform as well as maintaining Confused.com’s existing solution.

Coding languages:

  • SQL Server 2016 and above, Azure DevOps, Python, Databricks, C#, PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Tableau

Key competencies:

  • Ability to work closely with our cross-functional product teams to identify and deliver projects that will drive value to customers of Confused.com.
  • Experience of working in an agile environment.
  • Experience of building robust solutions for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources, including third-party providers, API’s and our existing Azure platform.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimising data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Foster a self-service data culture; working closely with other data engineers, architects, and technologists to share knowledge, evaluate opportunities and proactively recommend improvements in architecture, pipelines, data models, tools and processes.

The Insight team has been delivering market-leading data services on behalf of Confused.com since its inception in 2012. Confused.com’s analytical expertise regularly assists insurance partners from across the UK and beyond to make the best decisions for their business.

As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will utilise your extensive knowledge and experience of the insurance industry to initiate and deliver a variety of analytical projects to drive positive change for Confused.com’s insurance partners and, in turn, Confused.com customers.

Working with some of the biggest names in UK insurance, this role is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Pricing Analyst or an existing Senior Pricing Analyst to take all their previous experience to the next level in their career.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide analytical support to Confused.com’s insurance partner’s’ pricing teams to ensure that the right pricing decisions are made and that a profitable book of business is written
  • Investigate all available sources of information to recommend changes to Confused.com’s insurance partners to help achieve volume and profit targets across multiple products
  • Evaluate key aspects of Confused.com’s insurance partner’s’ performance, such as conversion, premium changes, ancillary take-up, and rate analysis
  • Collaborate with colleagues from across the business to deliver key projects
  • Act as a key point of contact for Pricing Analysts to offer them advice and guidance as and when needed

Essential Requirements:

Working closely with colleagues from across the business, you’ll get the chance to expand your knowledge of different data technologies and explore new and exciting capabilities—including big data and artificial intelligence.

You’ll put to use your working knowledge of automating provisioning, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, monitoring, auditing, performance and security. In addition, you’ll have to keep an eye on cost management and cloud spend.

What’s more, we’ll rely on you to generate well-articulated and data-oriented test cases and determine the positive, negative and boundary cases from working with Confused.com’s cross-functional teams.

The Pricing team will help shape pricing strategies, supporting long-term projects, and drive value based on the needs of our partners and their customers.

We’re looking for ambitious, inquisitive and creative individuals with over 4 years’ experience in any insurance pricing role, who know how to utilise data and statistical techniques to find insight and apply it.

As the leader of a consultative analytics team, you’ll be exposed to some of the smartest pricing and analytical heads in the industry, and you’ll have the opportunity to make a material impact on their businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of pricing analytics strategy for the department
  • Mentor and develop team members in price modelling, loss ratio impact analysis, data visualisation, data storytelling, partner relations and analytical techniques
  • Understand and support Confused.com’s partners by providing expertise and analysis with a view to assist them in achieving their goals. Communicating results and ideas to key decision-makers internally
  • Create and refine beneficial and actionable high-value bespoke analysis through data mining, data visualisation techniques and commentary
  • Contribute and guide the continuous development of Confused.com’s data services, including identifying and supporting the creation of new and bespoke services, based on partners’ requirements and needs
