Principality Building Society Celebrates £1.5M Milestone in Grassroots Investment Across Wales
Principality Building Society is demonstrating the power of impactful community investment, celebrating over £1.5 million invested in grassroots projects across Wales through its Future Generations Fund (FGF) since 2021.
This milestone underlines a commitment to tackling critical challenges such as mental health, social isolation, sustainability, and financial resilience. In 2023 alone, £600,000 in grants—ranging from £15,000 to £25,000—was distributed to projects that are transforming lives.
Supporting Grassroots Projects Across Wales

- The VC Gallery: Combating social isolation through art and confidence-building.
- Youth Shedz Cymru: Inspiring young people to lead community-driven projects.
- Bridgend Community Outreach Centre (BARC): Teaching essential life skills like budgeting and healthy living.
Driving Sustainability with the Retrofit for the Future Fund
Looking to the future, Principality’s Retrofit for the Future Fund is setting new standards in grassroots sustainability. Launched in 2024, this fund provides grants of up to £25,000 for eco-upgrades such as solar panels and insulation, enabling community hubs to reduce energy costs and environmental impact.
