Newport-Based Acquis Data Services Adds Portfolio Monitoring to Lumia Platform

Newport’s Acquis Data Services has announced a significant enhancement to its pioneering Lumia platform with the introduction of a new “portfolio monitoring” feature.

Launched in 2022, Lumia serves as a central register for asset finance borrowing, specifically developed to help identify suspicious or irregular balance-sheet borrowing on a large scale. The platform has gained significant traction within the asset finance sector, with 36 companies signed up and coverage spanning over 400,000 agreements, collectively valued at more than £2.4 billion.

The new “portfolio monitoring” functionality enables existing Lumia collaborators to track changes in customer borrowing over time, offering a deeper and more dynamic view of financial behaviour. Previously, Lumia allowed users to search a company’s current net balances, the start dates of leases, and the number of contracts in place. With the new update, users can now monitor how borrowing values evolve throughout the life of the agreements.

James Rudolf, Chief Commercial Officer at Acquis Data Services, commented:

“Lumia has grown exponentially since its launch in 2022 and is fulfilling the vision that the industry had when we originally developed the platform. We’ve already reached a tipping point in the industry and the information available to users is growing in value every day. Now with the addition of ‘portfolio monitoring’ we’re providing our partners with a more proactive way to look at a customer’s current exposure to debt.”

This new development underscores Acquis Data Services’ commitment to innovation in the asset finance sector, further enhancing transparency and proactive risk assessment across the industry.
