Monmouthshire Building Society is pleased to announce the appointment of Iestyn Evans as its new Chief Finance Officer (CFO). With more than 20 years in financial services, Evans brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to the role, following a six-month tenure as Interim CFO at the Society.
Evans’ background includes a distinguished career working with high-profile organizations across the sector. Notably, he played a critical role in the establishment of Monument Bank, a new challenger bank that achieved impressive growth, amassing £2 billion in assets in just over two years. Evans has also held senior positions at industry-leading firms such as Deloitte, Lloyds Bank, Target, HBOS, and Mirror Group Newspapers. Alongside his professional experience, he holds an MBA and serves as a Non-Executive Director at the Development Bank of Wales.
