Money Ready Opens Tender for Interactive Financial Education Modules in Wales

FinTech Wales is pleased to share a new tender opportunity from Money Ready, which is seeking an experienced digital learning content and development specialist to support the creation of a comprehensive bilingual financial education platform for young people across Wales.

Money Ready has issued an invitation to tender for an initial six-month contract to design and develop a series of interactive digital learning modules based on its existing educational materials. The successful supplier will transform this content into engaging, age-appropriate digital experiences for learners from Year 3 upwards, accessible in both English and Welsh.

Project Overview

The appointed provider will design and develop 16 interactive, 20-minute digital learning modules for each school year group across Key Stage 2, 3 and 4. The modules must include clear links to National Curriculum subjects, with cross-curricular mapping at Key Stage 3 and 4.

The first priority will be the development of two 20-minute pilot modules for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 4. Following successful pilot delivery, the remaining 12 modules will be developed.

All content must:

  • Adapt and reimagine existing Money Ready materials into interactive digital formats
  • Align with the Curriculum for Wales and relevant progression steps
  • Incorporate diverse media formats including graphics, animation, audio, video and interactive elements
  • Maximise learner engagement, knowledge retention and educational outcomes
  • Function effectively across multiple devices and browsers

Money Ready will provide access to current partnership schools and requires collaboration with a core group of secondary schools to embed financial education across the curriculum.

Bilingual Delivery and Accessibility

The successful supplier will be responsible for coordinating professional translation of all content into Welsh, ensuring cultural appropriateness and accuracy across both language versions. Quality assurance must be provided for English and Welsh materials.

Content must be fully accessible and compatible across mobile and desktop devices. The appointed organisation will also be required to engage with safeguarding and GDPR training.

Scope of Work and Deliverables

Deliverables include:

  • A complete series of interactive digital learning modules covering Year 3 to Year 13
  • Modules approximately 20 minutes in duration
  • English and Welsh versions of all content
  • All source files, assets and documentation
  • User guides and teacher notes for each module
  • Quality assurance and testing documentation

All intellectual property created will be owned by Money Ready. In the event of early contract termination, Money Ready will retain ownership of all content produced up to that point.

Essential and Desirable Expertise

Money Ready is seeking organisations with a demonstrable track record in developing digital learning content for children and young learners, supported by a substantial portfolio of interactive multimedia projects.

Essential requirements include strong project management capability, robust quality assurance processes, knowledge of Welsh curriculum requirements and an understanding of educational pedagogy and instructional design principles.

Desirable experience includes financial literacy content development, SCORM compliance, expertise with Articulate Storyline and/or Rise 360, experience managing bilingual content projects and prior work with Welsh organisations.
