Monmouthshire Building Society, a Fintech Wales member, has announced key leadership changes as it steps into the new year. The appointments aim to reinforce the Society’s commitment to its members, colleagues, and communities while driving forward its strategic vision.

Marian Evans Appointed as Chair

The Society has appointed Marian Evans as its new Chair, succeeding Roger Turner, who stepped down at the end of 2024 following the completion of his tenure.

Marian brings extensive experience in financial services, property, and business consultancy. A Board member since 2021, she previously held senior roles at NFU Mutual and Thomas Carroll Plc before founding her own consultancy, Elevate BC, where she provides executive coaching and leadership development.

Her contributions to financial services have earned her recognition, including the Inspirational Woman of the Decade award at the Woman in Business Awards in 2019 and the Mentor of the Year award at the Women in Financial Advice Awards in 2018.

“I look forward to working alongside my colleagues at the Society to continue to deliver our purpose. The Society exists to help members, colleagues, and communities to thrive—this is what drives us as an organisation, and it will be a privilege to help lead that into the future. Many thanks also go to Roger Turner for his wisdom and guidance as Chair over the past few years.”
