Jessica Morden MP Meets the Next Generation of Tech Talent at de Novo Solutions

Jessica Morden MP, Member of Parliament for Newport East, recently visited the headquarters of de Novo Solutions in Langstone to learn more about the company’s work in digital transformation and its investment in developing future technology talent.

During the visit, Ms Morden toured the offices and spoke with members of the de Novo team, including several of the newest recruits currently completing the company’s Graduate and Apprenticeship Scheme.

The visit provided an opportunity for staff to share insight into the ambition, skills and hard work that have driven the company’s growth since its launch five years ago. de Novo’s team also highlighted the role the business plays in contributing to Wales’ growing technology and innovation ecosystem, particularly within the Newport region.

Alongside the company’s commitment to developing the next generation of technology professionals, the team outlined de Novo’s work supporting public and private sector organisations to enhance HR, Procurement, Payroll and Finance functions through the use of ServiceNow and Oracle Cloud solutions.

de Novo also shared several recent milestones with Ms Morden, including achieving high-ranking placements in the FT1000 Europe, Elite Business 100 and Tussell Tech200 rankings, as well as receiving a prestigious St David Award.

Mark Sweeny, Founder and Group CEO of de Novo Solutions, said:

“It was a pleasure to welcome Ms Morden to our office, and give her an insight into our work and our plans for future success. We are very proud to be a Welsh company, contributing to the local economy and the success of the Welsh technology sector.

“Hiring and nurturing the next generation of technology leaders is a key part of our vision at de Novo, so we are pleased Ms Morden was able to meet a group of our apprentices and hear first-hand from them about the benefits of combining earning a degree from the University of South Wales alongside on-the-job learning. It’s really important that businesses are supported to set-up and expand their apprenticeship programmes, and we hope this is our local MP will continue to champion both here and in Westminster.”

Jessica Morden MP added:

“My visit to de Novo Solutions was inspiring – it was great to be around so many talented young people and to see and hear how the company is nurturing and growing their skills and abilities in well-paid degree apprenticeships.

“Newport’s future lies in tech industries, and de Novo’s specialism in digital transformation is another string in that bow. I can’t wait to see what the next few years brings for this company.”
