ITeC Digital Training Launches NextGen Tech Bootcamp to Empower South Wales Residents into Tech Careers
In a significant step toward addressing the digital skills gap and enhancing social mobility across Wales, ITeC Digital Training has partnered with Coleg y Cymoedd to launch the inaugural NextGen Tech Bootcamp — a 10-week, fully funded programme designed to support unemployed and underemployed adults into high-growth tech careers.
Starting 2 June 2025 at Coleg y Cymoedd’s Ystrad Mynach campus, the bootcamp aims to deliver vital skills in IT support, networking, and cybersecurity. With comprehensive technical training, employability support, and employer engagement opportunities, the programme culminates in the globally recognised CompTIA A+ certification. Participants will also receive a weekly £150 training allowance, with additional barrier funding available for transport and childcare support.
“Our mission is to provide accessible tech education to communities beyond the major cities,” said Demi Necrews, Head of Partnerships & Engagement at ITeC Digital Training. “By collaborating with Coleg y Cymoedd, we’re creating opportunities for individuals to gain industry-relevant skills.”
The initiative has already attracted support from regional employers, who will engage with learners through guest talks, CV clinics, mock interviews, and potential apprenticeship pathways.
