Innovate Finance Opens Applications for Women in FinTech Powerlist 2025
12 December, 2025
Innovate Finance, the UK’s industry body for global fintech, has opened nominations for the Women in FinTech Powerlist 2025, marking the tenth anniversary of the initiative celebrating the achievements of women making an impact across financial technology and financial services.
First launched as a celebration of gender diversity in the UK fintech sector, the Powerlist has grown into a globally recognised platform that highlights and amplifies the influence of female leaders, innovators and change‑makers across the ecosystem. The 2025 edition will continue this mission, spotlighting women who have demonstrated leadership, innovation, and contribution to diversity and inclusion in fintech.
Applications are now open across eight categories, including Senior Leaders, Rising Stars, Investors, Technology Professionals, Marketers and Communicators, Policymakers and Regulatory Experts, Professional Services and Banking, and Industry and Knowledge Champions. A panel of independent judges will evaluate submissions and select a group of standout nominees, known as the “Standout 45,” who go above and beyond in shaping the future of fintech.
To be eligible, nominees must have worked in fintech or a fintech‑related field for at least 12 months and provide evidence of meaningful contributions over the past 12–18 months, such as thought leadership, mentoring and efforts to promote inclusion within the sector. Submission guidelines also state that entries must be updated with recent achievements where relevant, and external PR submissions are not accepted.
This year’s timeline sees applications open from 19 November 2025 through 11 January 2026, with judging starting on 18 January. Successful applicants will be informed in early March, followed by publication of the Powerlist and a celebratory event on 12 March 2026.
The Powerlist plays an important role in Innovate Finance’s ongoing agenda to support diversity and inclusion within fintech, reinforcing the sector’s commitment to elevating the voices and impact of women shaping financial innovation globally.
