IE Hub and IncomeMax Partnership Identifies Over £1M in Additional Income for Customers

FinTech Wales member IE Hub, based at Tramshed Tech in Cardiff, has announced the impact of its partnership with IncomeMax, revealing more than £1 million in additional income identified for customers experiencing financial difficulty.

The collaboration integrates IncomeMax’s support services directly into the IE Hub customer journey, enabling organisations to connect individuals with financial guidance at key moments. IncomeMax provides independent, real-world money advice across areas including benefits, debt, budgeting, energy and water bills, and employment, helping households take control of their finances.

Early results from the partnership highlight measurable outcomes:

  • 789 referrals generated
  • 775 benefit checks completed
  • 92% of cases identified additional income
  • £1,030,590.56 in potential income uncovered
  • £58,690.57 already confirmed across 34 households
  • £1,443 average identified per case

The integration addresses common barriers that prevent customers from accessing financial support, including low engagement with traditional channels, complex application processes and lack of awareness.

Through the partnership, IE Hub enables:

  • Seamless referrals following budget completion
  • Expert-led benefits checks
  • End-to-end application support
  • Increased customer engagement post-submission

Operational data from the initiative also indicates that 63.9% of supported customers are experiencing mental health challenges, 41.8% physical health issues, and 30.8% severe or long-term illness, underlining the importance of accessible financial support services.

A single case within the programme has already identified £21,866 in annual income for a customer, demonstrating the potential impact of embedding support at the right stage of the customer journey.

IE Hub and IncomeMax are continuing to build on this partnership to expand access to financial support and improve outcomes for more households across Wales and beyond.
