From Accelerator to Demo Day: Meet Humoni, the Fintech Enabling Economic Integration of Migrants

Q&A with Adedamola Akintunde, Founder of Humoni
Q: For those unfamiliar — who are you and what does Humoni do?
I’m Adedamola, founder of Humoni. We’re creating the infrastructure for the economic integration of migrants. Our vision is a single platform where migrants can access jobs, credit, and financial tools — helping them settle quickly and build economic empowerment and social mobility.
Q: How has your experience in the accelerator been so far?
It’s been fantastic. One of the biggest gains for us has been learning “ruthless execution” — focusing on what really moves the needle, aligning everything we do around those priorities. Also, being exposed to mentors and relevant advice has been crucial.
Q: Looking ahead to Demo Day — how are you feeling, and what are you hoping for?
Very excited. There’s a mix of nerves and enthusiasm. We’re looking forward to pitching to investors AND potential partners, like landlords, universities, employers — seeing where we can build those meaningful partnerships is key.
Q: What are your plans for the next 6–12 months?
We’ll be releasing our MVP, focusing on connecting international students to housing solutions, helping them build trust and credibility in the UK. We’ll also build our first version of a risk model designed with migrants in mind, which will power more features of the platform.
