FOR Cardiff Launches Citywide Survey to Shape the Future of the Capital

As Cardiff celebrates 70 years as the capital of Wales, the city is entering a significant phase of transformation, with developments such as the South Wales Metro and a new arena in Cardiff Bay poised to redefine its infrastructure and economy.

In light of this pivotal moment, FOR Cardiff, the city’s Business Improvement District (BID), has launched a broad-reaching public and business survey to help shape its future strategy — and inform the civic conversation around the direction Cardiff should take in the coming years.

“As the business improvement district (BID) for the city, FOR Cardiff has strategic objectives to be the leading voice for businesses and to play our part in shaping the Cardiff of the future. To support these objectives and to help shape our work into the future we are undertaking a broad piece of research to understand business’s and the public’s views on a range of issues of key importance to the city.”

The survey, which takes around 10 minutes to complete, is open to all businesses and individuals with a stake in Cardiff’s development — including those outside FOR Cardiff membership. For fintech companies operating in the city, this is a valuable opportunity to help influence policy and development priorities at a time of rapid industry and urban evolution.

“The results of this research will not only shape the future direction of FOR Cardiff as we begin to consult on a third five year term but will also form an important part of the civic conversation about the city. Completing this survey, whether your business is a FOR Cardiff member or not, is an important opportunity to be part of shaping that work.”
