Our first event ‘The Right Conditions in which to Innovate’ will take place on Monday 13th July. We will discuss the relevant stakeholders, their roles, overarching strategies and collaborative working, and the necessity for the correct skills.

On Tuesday we present ‘Grassroot Techies; how the landscape is changing for Software Engineers’. This will be an insightful panel event where we will hear advice and views from the people who are the brilliance behind making things happen. They will share a different view on how things were, how things are, how things will be and the lessons they have learned along the way.

On Wednesday, our Strategic Advisor, Johnny speaks with Admiral Pioneer and with Principality for our ‘Corporate Innovation’ panel to discuss the incumbent innovation process and what going digital means for the future of their firms.

On Thursday morning, we present to you the ‘Cross-sector Collaboration’ panel discussion. FinTech will have a significant impact all sectors as it offers products, services and new business model opportunities. We discuss some of the opportunities for FinTech in differing sectors of the UK economy.

In the afternoon, in partnership with Future of Finance, we bring you the ‘Tech for Good’ webinar. Through this webinar, businesses that have made the transition successfully will share their knowledge and experience with experts in digitisation, recruitment, education, and corporate culture.

We recognise that skills development is a hot topic, therefore it is a major element of the national FinTech programme in Wales. With this in mind, we have organised an expert panel for our final day: ‘Skilling up Wales for FinTech’. This will include discussions on the role of skills in the FinTech ecosystem, and how we can ensure the right skills are available; the perfect way to end Wales Tech Week.

Fintech Wales aims to provide an independent voice for the FinTech industry, both within Wales and beyond, building that environment to innovate, grow and protect FinTech in Wales. Make sure you don’t miss out on the very best that the FinTech Sector in Wales has to offer.
