Part of our mission is to be louder and prouder about the achievements of Wales’ FinTech ecosystem, demonstrating that it is the place to start and scale your FinTech.

But don’t just take it from us, hear it from one of our FinTech Wales Foundry alumni!

AGAM – meaning ‘advance’ in Bangla – is an AI driven digital SaaS platform which provides a credit-scoring service and instant access to finance for people who are unbanked or without a credit history. Since participating in our no equity accelerator programme, the company has Headquartered itself in Cardiff, Wales. They recently closed a funding round supported by the Development Bank of Wales, and announced a partnership with SBK Foundation, Bangladesh’s leading microfinance institution, to provide factory workers, small business owners, gig-economy workers entrepreneurs access to loans.

We sat down for a catch up with Shabnam Wazed, Founder and CEO of AGAM, to discuss their recent milestones, what’s next for AGAM, and why they chose Wales as the perfect place to grow the company.
