FinTech Wales Hosts North Wales Roundtable to Drive Regional Collaboration and Innovation
FinTech Wales recently brought together key fintech leaders, regional stakeholders, and innovative businesses for a dynamic roundtable event in North Wales, aimed at strengthening the fintech ecosystem across the region.
Hosted by Sarah Jones, CEO of FinTech Wales, and Rhys Griffiths, Relationship Manager, the session was delivered in collaboration with
PSR Gogledd Cymru | North Wales Regional Skills Partnership and
Uchelgais Gogledd Cymru | Ambition North Wales.
The roundtable provided a platform for open, honest and productive discussions around the opportunities and challenges facing the local fintech sector.
Key areas of discussion included:
- Investment and Infrastructure: Exploring ways to attract investment into North Wales and improve digital and financial infrastructure to support growth.
- Skills and Recruitment: Identifying talent gaps, training needs, and opportunities to align regional education with fintech demand.
- Ecosystem Development: Strengthening networks between fintechs, academia, public sector leaders, and investors to create a more connected and thriving ecosystem.
The event saw active participation from a number of North Wales-based organisations, including

Hartmark Consultancy Limited.

This roundtable forms part of FinTech Wales’ wider mission to support innovation and inclusive economic growth by building stronger connections across the whole of Wales. The event confirmed the strong appetite from North Wales fintechs and stakeholders to collaborate and shape the region’s future as a hub for financial technology.
