FinTech Wales and The College Merthyr Tydfil Collaborate on Future Merthyr FinTech Academy

FinTech Wales was delighted to host a dynamic roundtable event alongside The College Merthyr Tydfil, bringing together leaders from across our ecosystem to support the early development of a pioneering Merthyr FinTech Academy.

This collaborative session sparked meaningful discussion, high energy, and strong ambition to shape a programme that brings the fintech sector to life for students in Merthyr. The aim: to engage students through impactful, inspiring and career-focused activity that aligns with the real-world fintech landscape.

As part of the event, attendees toured the College’s impressive campus, gaining a first-hand look at the breadth of opportunities available to students and the vital role the institution plays in the local community.

We are proud to support Leanne and Liana at The College Merthyr Tydfil, who are leading with a clear and focused vision. Together, we are committed to helping bring that vision to life, creating a meaningful pipeline of opportunity for young people in the region.

Thank you to all our valued FinTech Wales ecosystem members who joined us for the session:
