FinTech Wales and Cardiff and Vale College Celebrate the Success of Latest Coding Academy Bootcamp
FinTech Wales, in collaboration with Cardiff and Vale College, proudly wrapped up another impactful edition of the Coding Academy Bootcamp—a key initiative focused on nurturing the next generation of tech talent in Wales.
The multi-day programme provided learners with hands-on opportunities to refine their coding abilities and develop essential employability skills. A particular highlight of the bootcamp was the final-day speed interviewing session, where students engaged directly with professionals from across the fintech and wider technology ecosystem.
Organisations in attendance included Deloitte, Creditsafe, HSBC, Cognisess, Ogi, Sanderson, Principality Building Society, Monmouthshire Building Society, and Barclays. Each brought experienced professionals to deliver valuable real-world feedback and guidance, allowing participants to sharpen their interview techniques and expand their professional networks.
“It was a great pleasure to join FinTech Wales and Cardiff and Vale College for their Coding Academy Bootcamp. The speed interviewing workshop was fun, engaging, and very well organised.”
Rhys Griffiths, Relationship Manager at FinTech Wales, echoed the sentiment: “Another impactful Cardiff and Vale College Coding Bootcamp completed! The talent we saw was fantastic, and the ecosystem really came together to support the next generation.”
Laura MacLeod and Caroline Morgan of Cardiff and Vale College continue to play a vital role in connecting bootcamp graduates with potential employers across Wales’ fintech and digital sectors.
FinTech Wales remains committed to building real-world bridges between talent and industry—empowering students to thrive in the fast-evolving world of fintech.
