Emma Powell Appointed Chief Executive of Admiral Money

Emma Powell has been appointed as the new chief executive of Admiral Money, the loans and car finance business of Wales’ only FTSE 100 firm, Admiral. Her appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

She steps into the role following the departure of Scott Cargill, who is moving to Admiral Group’s UK insurance business to lead its household, pet, and travel division.

Powell, who has served as Admiral Money’s chief risk officer, has been with the business since 2016 and has played a pivotal role in its growth and diversification. As part of the executive team for nearly nine years, she has been instrumental in driving the company’s profitability and expanding its multi-product offering.

Commenting on the appointment, Milena Mondini de Focatiis, chief executive of Admiral Group, said:

“It’s fantastic to see Emma step into this role as chief executive of Admiral Money as Scott moves to oversee our UK insurance business’ household, pet and travel areas. It’s another great example of strong internal mobility that we have always embraced at Admiral Group, and I know both Emma and Scott’s vast experience and expertise will bring a positive impact to our customer offerings.”

Emma Powell added:

“I’m truly excited to take the reins from Scott and continue to build on the success of Admiral Money. As a founding member, working closely with Scott for almost nine years, I look forward to working with the team as we further enhance our customer offerings in the future.”

Admiral Money was launched in 2017 and offers unsecured personal loans and car finance. The business currently serves 155,000 customers across the UK.
