CloudBank.Digital Launches First UK Client, Empowering FMPay’s Next Growth Phase

  • News

CloudBank.Digital has announced the successful launch of its first UK client — a significant milestone in the company’s expansion and a clear signal of confidence from the fintech sector in its modern core banking capabilities.

The UK debut project saw CloudBank.Digital onboard FMPay, a rapidly growing fintech based in Cheltenham, setting the stage for scalable innovation and digital transformation in the UK’s financial services landscape.

FMPay: Fast-Growing Fintech Backed by Leading Networks

FMPay is an established member of Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Through its Xiva brand, the company provides innovative financial services tailored to the needs of SMEs across the UK.

By September 2025, FMPay officially transitioned to the CloudBank.Digital platform — a move that gives the business a stronger technological foundation for future growth.

Unlocking Scalable Infrastructure and Faster Product Delivery

With the CloudBank.Digital platform, FMPay has gained:

  • The ability to launch financial products more rapidly and predictably

  • A scalable infrastructure with fewer operational bottlenecks

  • Enhanced issuing and acquiring processes

  • Automated settlement and accounting

  • A foundation for offering services to partner fintechs

This deployment represents a new standard for delivering modern core banking entirely in the cloud — quickly, flexibly, and with deep integration capabilities.

Strategic Collaboration with Leading Technology Partners

The successful go-live was achieved through a close collaboration involving multiple fintech ecosystem players:

  • Boxopay: Provided acquiring and issuing technology and connected CloudBank.Digital to FMPay’s payment infrastructure.

  • Lime Systems: Vendor of the Scrooge Core Banking System, which powers the CloudBank.Digital architecture.

  • CloudBank.Digital: Delivered the core banking platform, digital onboarding, Faster Payments integration, issuing and acquiring capabilities, and a distributed General Ledger.

CloudBank.Digital extended special thanks to FMPay and its leadership, particularly Roman Loban, for their trust and collaboration, as well as to all technology partners involved in the project.

Looking Ahead

The collaboration between CloudBank.Digital and FMPay is ongoing, with new modules, integrations, and capabilities already in development. The focus remains on enabling fintechs to launch faster, scale confidently, and operate on future-ready infrastructure.

CloudBank.Digital has extended an open invitation to fintech innovators looking to overcome legacy limitations and build at scale with modern, cloud-native technology.
