FinTech Wales Member Opportunity: Participate in CFIT Coalition Survey on Fighting Economic Crime

FinTech Wales is pleased to share an opportunity with our members to contribute to an important initiative led by the Centre for Finance, Innovation, and Technology (CFIT). CFIT is conducting its first coalition survey, which seeks input on digital business verification and the development of a digital Corporate ID.

Survey Participation Details:

CFIT’s survey is designed to gather insights from coalition partners and supporters, focusing on existing gaps, key use cases, and data prioritization in digital business verification. The survey will take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete, with mandatory questions requiring no more than 25 minutes.

Key Areas Covered in the Survey:

  • Background Information: Understanding the diverse backgrounds of participants.
  • Problem Statement and Use Cases: Identifying the core issues and potential solutions.
  • Dataset Prioritisation: Determining which datasets are most crucial for digital verification.
  • Key Enablers and Barriers: Exploring what will facilitate or hinder adoption.
  • Other Considerations: Any additional thoughts or suggestions from participants.

Deadline and Submission Guidelines:

The survey should be completed by 4th September 2024. Please note that each organization is allowed one response. If you represent a trade association, you are welcome to circulate the survey among your members, with each member entitled to submit one response.

Confirm Your Support:

Before completing the survey, please confirm your support for the coalition by replying to the email provided by CFIT with written confirmation and your preferred logo. Andrew Farman from CFIT will follow up with confirmation of your support.

What CFIT Has Been Up To:

The CFIT coalition has recently completed three sprints with participation from over 50 senior leaders across the industry. These discussions have focused on problem definitions, the concept of a Corporate ID, and the potential for a proof of concept. The survey will help to capture feedback that will guide the next steps in this initiative.

Conclusion:

This survey offers an opportunity for FinTech Wales members to contribute to CFIT’s efforts in enhancing digital business verification and fighting economic crime.
