Cardiff’s IE Hub Partners with National Debtline to Streamline Access to Debt Advice

Cardiff-based fintech IE Hub has announced a landmark partnership with National Debtline, a trusted UK charity offering free, impartial debt advice. The collaboration aims to streamline how individuals facing financial hardship access support—eliminating barriers between budgeting tools and professional guidance.

IE Hub, a free online budgeting platform and member of Fintech Wales, is designed to help users manage debt and improve financial literacy. Until now, customers referred to debt advice services by their creditors were required to re-enter their financial details when seeking external help. This new partnership bridges that gap.

The integration allows IE Hub users to connect directly with National Debtline, securely transferring their affordability information from the IE Hub platform into the charity’s system. The result is a simplified, efficient pathway to support, removing administrative burdens at a time when users are often experiencing stress and uncertainty.

Closing the Loop Between Tech and Advice

Beth Kennedy, Head of Partnerships at IE Hub, commented:

“We’re thrilled to be working with National Debtline on this new partnership. By combining the power of IE Hub’s tech platform with trusted, high-quality debt advice, we’re making it easier than ever for customers to get support and share their information with their creditors. This ‘close-the-loop’ approach is designed to deliver real, lasting impact, for individuals and creditors alike.”

Damian Chapman, Director of Income Generation at the Money Advice Trust, the charity that runs National Debtline, added:

“Facing problem debt is often a frightening and traumatic experience for the more than 8 million people in the UK who have debts they simply cannot manage. We’re proud to be partnering with IE Hub to make the journey to support easier for many more people.

This collaboration brings together the cutting-edge technology of IE Hub that is already trusted by some of the UK’s largest companies with the specialist expertise of our award-winning National Debtline advisers—creating a solution that benefits both customers and creditors.”

A Broader Impact on Financial Inclusion

IE Hub’s CEO, Dylan Jones, acknowledged the significance of this new step in the company’s journey:

“I’m incredibly proud of our team and everyone who has supported us on this journey. Together, we’ve created a brand and a platform that will continue to empower people to take control of their finances with confidence and ease.”

IE Hub already works in partnership with key organisations across the UK, including Wales & West Utilities, Cadent, Metro Bank, Amplifi Capital, Stop Loan Sharks, and Scope. This latest partnership with National Debtline further underscores IE Hub’s commitment to simplifying budgeting and debt management through innovation and collaboration.
