Cardiff Capital Region Launches ‘Innovate from Within’ Programme to Empower Internal Business Innovation
The Cardiff Capital Region has launched an exciting new programme, Innovate from Within, aimed at helping businesses across Southeast Wales unlock the transformative power of their own people. Running from May to September 2025, the initiative supports companies in harnessing internal creativity to spark impactful change and drive growth from the inside out.

Over a four-month period, participants will access a comprehensive support package designed to turn ideas into tangible innovations, including:
- Innovation Camp: Collaborate, create and push boundaries
- Innovation Trios: Test and refine ideas with peer support
- Two intensive skills building days
- Eight masterclasses focused on intrapreneurship
- 1:1 coaching to sharpen your approach
- On-call support when you need it most
- Networking opportunities to connect with other innovators across the region
Who Should Apply?
This programme is open to any business within the Cardiff Capital Region. Whether you are a business leader seeking to build a culture of innovation, or an employee with a bold idea, this is your opportunity to bring that vision to life.
How to Apply
- Define your innovation opportunity — what idea would you like to develop?
- Form a starter team — identify two people: an internal sponsor and a lead innovator
- Apply — either complete the online form or submit a short video pitch
An open evening will be held on 16 April 2025 to help interested applicants refine their ideas and form teams.
