Award-Winning Entrepreneur Mark Sweeny Launches MASANAS to Support Wales’ Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

Award-winning Welsh entrepreneur Mark Sweeny has launched MASANAS, the Sweeny family’s philanthropic venture arm, with a mission to champion Welsh entrepreneurial talent and help ambitious businesses grow across Wales.

Bringing together entrepreneurial experience, strategic guidance, business support and investment, MASANAS will work alongside entrepreneurs and growing businesses while also backing community organisations and projects that create opportunities for young people throughout Wales.

The launch represents a new addition to Wales’ entrepreneurial support landscape, with a focus on combining practical business experience with investment and community impact.

Drawing on the experience gained through building one of Wales’ leading technology businesses, Mark Sweeny says MASANAS will share the knowledge, relationships and lessons learned throughout that journey to help others overcome challenges and build successful futures.

As Founder and Group Chief Executive of a multi award-winning Welsh technology company featured in the Sunday Times 100, Mark Sweeny has built and led one of Wales’ leading technology businesses.

His entrepreneurial achievements have been recognised through two Great British Entrepreneur Awards, the FinTech Wales Leader of the Year award, and a St David Award recognising the company’s contribution to the Welsh economy.

Alongside the launch, MASANAS has unveiled its new website, which provides further information about its mission, the support it offers entrepreneurs, businesses and community organisations, and updates on its activities as the organisation develops.
