Aviva Joins FinTech Wales as Newest Member
07 April, 2025
FinTech Wales, the independent membership association championing the fintech and financial services industry in Wales, has today announced that Aviva—one of the UK’s leading insurance and financial services companies—has joined as its newest partner member, alongside Barclays, The Royal Mint, Go.Compare, Confused.com, Admiral, Starling, Hodge, Principality and Monmouthshire Building Societies, Veeqo and Future Finance.
Aviva joins over 160 businesses across Wales and beyond as a member of FinTech Wales, the not-for-profit organisation dedicated to fostering innovation and growth in the financial technology sector.
Aviva’s engagement with FinTech Wales began prior to its official partnership, with the company being the headline sponsor of the FinTech Wales Investment Conference in November 2024. This early collaboration demonstrated Aviva’s dedication to supporting Welsh innovators and supporting the next generation of fintech disruptors.
This partnership aligns with Aviva’s commitment to strengthening its Partnerships strategy and advancing the FinTech Pledge. At the heart of Aviva’s innovation efforts is collaboration with InsurTech and FinTech pioneers, whose disruptive ideas and cutting-edge technologies help the company think differently and accelerate progress.
Sarah Kocianski, CEO of FinTech Wales, said:
“Aviva joining FinTech Wales as a partner highlights the strength and potential of our ecosystem. Its presence will not only add to the wealth of expertise within our community but also create new opportunities for collaboration for innovative fintechs. Partnerships like this are key to the continuing growth and evolution of the Welsh fintech industry, and we’re excited to see the impact Aviva will have as we continue to champion Wales as a hub for fintech excellence.”
Arslan Hannani, Group Innovation Director at Aviva, said:
“We’re delighted to work with Fintech Wales and strengthen our relationships with businesses in this growing sector. The partnership will allow Aviva to explore innovative ideas and solutions with the Welsh FinTech community and help businesses get ready for the future.”
By joining FinTech Wales, Aviva brings its extensive expertise in insurance and financial services to a thriving ecosystem of innovators. This collaboration will provide invaluable insights, foster new opportunities, and enhance the exchange of ideas across FinTech Wales’ diverse membership.
