Applications Open for UK-Australia Insurtech Pathway Supporting Cross-Border Market Expansion

Fintech Wales is pleased to support the newly launched UK-Australia Insurtech Pathway – an ambitious initiative to accelerate international growth for insurtech firms by removing barriers to market entry across both countries.

Launched in partnership with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), Insurtech UK, and Insurtech Australia, the programme offers tailored guidance to companies looking to expand into Australia’s mature and innovation-friendly insurance market.

Following the successful launch events in Sydney (18 February) and London (20 March), applications for the Insurtech Pathway are now officially open.

UK-based insurtech firms accepted onto the programme will receive structured support including:

• Regulatory and compliance guidance
• Access to online resources and market insights
• Connections with mentors, investors, and trade officials
• Participation in industry events and delegations

The initiative is grounded in the UK-Australia Free Trade Agreement, leveraging reduced trade barriers and strengthened cooperation in financial services and technology.

Companies can apply on a rolling basis and will undergo a two-stage approval process, beginning with a short application form and followed by a meeting with the UK-AUS Pathway team.
