Alerte Tech Awareness Event Showcases Innovation in Safety and Cyber Resilience

On 7 February, FinTech Wales member Alerte Universal Limited hosted Alerte Tech Awareness, an in-person and virtual event exploring how technology can enhance personal safety, cyber resilience, and social impact.

Held under the banner “Alerte, Your Safety Companion”, the event brought together safety advocates, entrepreneurs, and digital innovators for an afternoon of live demonstrations, expert talks, and community engagement.

The event featured the official introduction of the Alerte App, presented by Alerte Universal Limited Founder James Useghan. The app integrates AI-powered danger detection, real-time emergency updates, and emergency contact features, offering a new approach to personal safety through technology.

“This app is a total game-changer. Safety at your fingertips,” said James Useghan. “The event wasn’t just about tech—it sparked a movement for turning ideas into action.”

Event Highlights

  • Princess Vivian Onyeanusi (MBA), CEO of SafeOnlineSpace Cymru, delivered a keynote on responsible information sharing and digital wellbeing.
  • Daniel T. shared a video presentation on cybersecurity and data protection practices.
  • Sarah Jones, CEO of FinTech Wales, spoke about entrepreneurship, inclusion, and the role of fintech in supporting innovation across the UK.

Hosted by Blessing Mutamba, the event attracted a global audience and generated discussions around how safety technology can drive meaningful social change.
