After Over Two Decades at Hodge, CEO David Landen Announces Departure
Hodge has announced that David Landen will step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer, marking the end of a 24-year career at the business, including the last six years as CEO.
Landen, who joined Hodge on a temporary contract in 2001, rose through the ranks to lead the Cardiff-based financial services firm through one of the most transformative periods in its history. His decision to step down follows a tenure defined by cultural evolution, digital innovation, and strategic growth.
Reflecting on his journey, Landen described his time at Hodge as “hugely fulfilling,” highlighting key milestones such as the sale of Hodge Life, the expansion of specialist mortgage services, the relaunch of motor finance through a strategic partnership with Blue Motor Finance, and the reinvigoration of the Real Estate Finance business. He also led the business through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring continuity of service during a time of unprecedented disruption.
“I have been so proud to have worked at, and led, an organisation with such great history, people and culture,” Landen shared. “My amazing colleagues made my decision all the harder — working with them every day has been an honour.”
Hodge’s Board expressed its gratitude for Landen’s leadership and confirmed that the search for his successor is underway. In the interim, Landen will remain in place to support a smooth leadership transition.
With a strong foundation in place, Hodge continues to position itself for future growth and innovation within the UK financial services landscape.
