1.Tink and Wealthify Enter Partnership for Investment Payments

Penarth based investment platform Wealthify has partnered with open banking platform Tink for payment initiation services, that will transform the way its investors transfer money into their investment accounts.

The partnership, which is already live, sees Tink’s payment initiation service (PIS) technology embedded in the Wealthify app. This enables investors to seamlessly transfer an initial investment sum during the onboarding process, and make additional payments to top-up their accounts.

Previously, this was a manual process where people had to initiate the payment separately, by going to their own bank’s app or web service. Now, investors can consent to connect to their bank account in the Wealthify app or web page, and complete their payment in a few steps.

Simon Holland, Chief Product Officer at Wealthify commented: “Open Banking is a fantastic opportunity to deliver seamless payment experiences for our customers that are quicker and more competitive than traditional card payments. The customer response has already been brilliant, and our partnership enables us to make more of our customers’ money work harder, by maintaining our market-leading low fees.”

4.Trust Payments and HDS Partner to Offer the Hospitality Industry an Integrated POS Solution

Trust Payments, the global unified payments group, has partnered with Hospitality Digital Services (HDS) to offer TRU Link which enables fast and easy integration with the HDS POS system, ConciergeHub, and Trust Payments’ card machine terminal. The integration will see HDS UK customers benefit from an enhanced customer experience, enabling them to:

– Cut queues and turn tables faster. The cashier will not need to enter the amount on the POS card terminal as this will be updated automatically. Customers wait less time to pay, and queues can be cleared faster.– Eliminate errors. As the POS system is directly linked to HDS’s technology there is no room for error in keying the wrong amount into the card terminal.– Offer mobile ordering and payments. Offer customers the option to order and pay within an app-less solution, reducing the need for social contact between customers and staff and turning tables faster.

Jonathan O’Connor, Chief Commercial Officer at Trust Payments said: “We believe TRU Link will make life easier for hospitality merchants in the UK. TRU Link connects the payment channels and POS setup, integrating into the merchant’s existing software, allowing them to work together. Whether a company is taking a payment online, from a card machine or from a mobile device, the data can be synchronised, reconciliations are seamless, and we can help the retailer save time and money.”
