Opportunity: Get £3,000+ towards bringing an AI or Cyber Security graduate into your Welsh business 🏴
Welsh SMEs can now apply for Tech Talent Cymru, a graduate placement programme connecting businesses with trained graduates in Artificial Intelligence or Cyber Security.
Funded by the UK Government and delivered by Darogan and partners, the programme is designed to make specialist technology support more accessible to Welsh businesses, while giving graduates an opportunity to begin their careers in Wales.
What do businesses receive?
Through Tech Talent Cymru, participating businesses receive a graduate matched to their organisation, with relevant degrees or experience in AI or Cyber Security.
Employers also receive:
- More than £3,000 towards salary costs
- Fully funded and managed payroll
- Funded training for the graduate
- A dedicated mentor throughout the placement
Graduates work with businesses in a consultancy-style role, understanding how the organisation operates, identifying opportunities or risks, and helping businesses decide on practical next steps.

- Looking at password practices, access controls and shared logins
- Helping staff recognise phishing attempts and suspicious messages
- Mapping important processes that are not currently documented
