Lynette Slater Appointed Chief Executive of de Novo Solutions.
de Novo Solutions has appointed Lynette Slater as its new Chief Executive, marking the next stage in the company’s growth.
As part of the leadership transition, founder Mark Sweeny will move into the role of Executive Chairman, where he will continue to provide strategic guidance and support to Slater, the board and the wider leadership team.
The transition is designed to strengthen leadership capacity, sharpen accountability and support a more predictable and scalable business, while protecting the values, culture and commitment to clients that have shaped de Novo’s success.
More than 30 years of leadership experience
Slater joins de Novo with more than 30 years’ experience spanning operations, technology, professional services and client leadership across insurance, financial services and software organisations.
Throughout her career, she has led complex, multi-million-pound change portfolios, built an award-winning professional services function and worked closely with boards, executive teams and major clients to translate strategic priorities into practical, value-led delivery.
Most recently, Slater served as Client Services Director at ICE Tech, part of the Acturis Group, where she helped steer the business’s operations and growth. Her responsibilities included overseeing strategic client relationships and programme delivery, while professional services revenue grew to £13 million in 2025.
Earlier in her career, Slater led transformation and international expansion programmes at Allianz, including the development of a UK offshore operation into a global delivery model.
Her experience covers strategic growth, digital and technology governance, operational resilience, commercial performance and people development, alongside a collaborative and pragmatic approach to managing complex change.
Building on de Novo’s foundations
Slater’s initial priority as Chief Executive will be to listen and learn, developing an understanding of what enables de Novo’s people to do their best work and identifying where greater clarity or improvements can be made for the business and its client base.
Working alongside the existing senior leadership team, she will focus on building on existing strengths, investing in skills and tools, strengthening ways of working and creating further opportunities for colleagues to develop their careers at de Novo.
Slater will also lead the company as it pursues opportunities created by reform across policing and local government. This will include deepening client relationships, developing predictable and sustainable growth, and supporting public sector organisations seeking better outcomes through AI and digital transformation.
Lynette Slater, Chief Executive at de Novo Solutions, said:
“I am delighted to be joining de Novo and proud to have the opportunity to lead a company with such strong foundations. What has made de Novo successful is the expertise, commitment and care of its people. Together, we can build on what is already working and take the business into its next stage with confidence.”
The appointment represents an important leadership transition for de Novo, combining continuity through Sweeny’s new position as Executive Chairman with Slater’s experience as the company enters its next stage of development.
