Blake Morgan Appoints Two Wales-Based Partners to UK Leadership Roles

FinTech Wales member Blake Morgan has appointed two Cardiff-based partners to national leadership roles within the firm.

Joanna Rees has been named Business Group Head for Construction, while James Williams has been appointed Business Group Head for Corporate.

Joanna will lead Blake Morgan’s 22-strong Construction team across the UK, including six lawyers based in Wales. She succeeds Richard Wade, who has led the team for the past 12 years.

James will take responsibility for a national Corporate team of 37 lawyers, including nine based in Wales. He succeeds Simon Staples, who led the group alongside his role as an elected member of the firm’s Board.

The appointments place two members of Blake Morgan’s Cardiff office at the helm of key national practice areas.
