Foundry Graduate Shipshape.vc Celebrates £1 Billion Milestone in Startup Fundraising

Shipshape.vc users have collectively raised over £1 billion, marking a major milestone for the Foundry Season One graduate, the platform announced this month.

Empowering founders to raise smarter

Shipshape.vc provides a free investor search engine designed to help founders connect with the right investors quickly and effectively.
The platform aggregates data from multiple sources, turning investor research from months into seconds, and allowing founders to target
the investors most relevant to their stage, sector, and geography.

The £1bn+ figure reflects the cumulative fundraising success of startups who have used Shipshape.vc, demonstrating the scale of impact
when investor discovery is made simpler and more transparent.

Background

Founded in 2020 by Daniel Sawko and Alistair Baillie, Shipshape.vc was created to tackle the challenges
faced by startups struggling to identify and access suitable investors. The company has since grown into a multi-award-winning venture,
recognised with titles including Fintech Start-up of the Year and the Sir Michael Moritz Tech Start-Up Award.

Now based in Cardiff, with its head office at Tramshed Tech, Shipshape.vc remains rooted in the Welsh tech ecosystem.
Many of the founding team are still based in South Wales, building on their mission to make investor search smarter and more accessible.

A milestone moment

“The aggregate impact of founders raising more or at better valuations is what makes this milestone so meaningful.
All because they could identify the right investors, not just the nearest or loudest.”
— Daniel Sawko, Co-founder & CEO, Shipshape.vc

This achievement underscores Shipshape.vc’s role in supporting founders globally, while continuing to represent the strength and
innovation of Welsh fintech.
