Newport FinTech Startup Voltric’s Founder Named One of Insider’s Rising Stars in Wales 2025

Julian Mensah, founder and Chief Executive of Newport‑based FinTech startup Voltric, has been named one of Insider’s Rising Stars in Wales 2025.

The annual feature by Insider Media’s Wales Business Insider magazine celebrates high‑achieving Welsh entrepreneurs aged under 40 who are making a significant impact through innovation, ambition and purpose‑driven business models.

Voltric—relocated from Bristol to Wales after acceptance into the FinTech Wales Foundry accelerator—is leading the charge in simplifying access to electric vehicles through subscription-based services and salary sacrifice schemes.

Looking ahead, the company is preparing to launch its proprietary mobility application, designed to further streamline user experiences and drive EV adoption across the UK.
