Creditsafe Relocates 300-Strong Team to Cardiff’s Ty Meridian
Creditsafe, a Fintech Wales member, has secured a major office relocation deal, moving its 300-strong team to Ty Meridian at Cardiff Gate Business Park. The lease agreement marks one of the largest office lettings in Cardiff this year and the biggest out-of-town letting for several years.
The 50,000 sq ft office building was originally developed as a bespoke contact centre for SSE and later occupied by Ovo Energy following their acquisition of SSE’s retail business in 2019. Now, Creditsafe Business Solutions Ltd has signed a 15-year lease for the entire property from landlord SSE Services Plc.
Strategic Move for Growth
Creditsafe, a global leader in company credit checking and B2B services, currently operates from Caerphilly, Cardiff Bay, and London. With over 40,000 UK customers, the company supports businesses in navigating financial, procurement, and compliance risks. The relocation to Ty Meridian signals a commitment to growth, providing greater flexibility and accessibility for its workforce.
“We carefully considered our relocation options and are very excited to be moving to Ty Meridian over the coming months. The large floor plates provide us with complete flexibility, and being located at Junction 30 of the M4 motorway will enable us to be very accessible to our staff.”
— Chris Robertson, CEO of Creditsafe UK and Ireland
A Boost to Cardiff’s Office Market
The deal represents a significant boost for Cardiff’s office sector, particularly in out-of-town locations.
- JLL acted on behalf of landlord SSE Services Plc.
- Burston Cook represented Creditsafe in securing the lease.
“Ty Meridian provided the largest available out-of-town floor plates, which was a key requirement for Creditsafe. This is the largest Cardiff out-of-town office letting for several years and a welcome boost to Q1 take-up.”
— Rhydian Morris, Director of JLL’s Cardiff office
“We had a specific client brief to secure a suitable office building that would support my client’s growth strategy as well as providing self-containment. Ty Meridian is a great choice, especially due to its strategic location at Junction 30 of the M4.”
— Tom Gibbons, Director of Burston Cook
With this move, Creditsafe reinforces its long-term investment in Wales, further strengthening the country’s reputation as a growing fintech hub.
