Principality Building Society has announced the appointment of Maria Timon Samra as a Non-Executive Director, bringing over 30 years of experience spanning the private, public, and third sectors to the organisation.Maria’s distinguished career includes senior roles at Andersen, KPMG, Barclays, and as Chief Executive of
Tŷ Hafan, where she successfully steered one of Wales’s leading children’s hospice charities through the challenges of the pandemic. Her leadership ensured continued access to vital palliative care for children with life-shortening conditions and their families.

A trusted board advisor and purpose-led leader, Maria has an impressive track record in strategic transformation, cultural change, governance, and risk management, particularly in regulated industries. Her digitally-enabled approach to strategy will further strengthen
Principality’s position in delivering value to its Members.
