PwC has confirmed plans to move its Cardiff headquarters to a larger office at One Central Square in 2025, with the expansion set to create hundreds of new jobs. This relocation marks an important step in PwC’s growth strategy in Wales.

The new HQ will occupy two floors and provide 33,500 sq ft of flexible, collaborative workspace. The building, located next to Cardiff Central train station and the new Cardiff Bus Interchange, offers convenient access for commuters from Newport, Swansea, and the South Wales Valleys, aligning with PwC’s goal of attracting talent from diverse backgrounds.

John-Paul Barker, PwC’s regional market leader for Wales and the West, called the lease signing a “significant moment for PwC in Wales.” He noted the Central Square development as a key driver in Cardiff’s transformation, supporting the city’s modernisation and economic growth.

The new HQ is part of PwC’s wider regional strategy, which includes creating over 1,000 jobs in Cardiff over the next five years. Carl Sizer, PwC UK’s head of markets, emphasised that this investment reflects the firm’s confidence in Cardiff and its ambition to address skills gaps while driving long-term growth.

Rebecca Evans, Welsh Government cabinet secretary for economy, energy, and planning, welcomed PwC’s expansion, noting that the move will support job creation in Wales’ digital and technology sectors. She stressed that creating high-quality, well-paid jobs is essential for future prosperity.

One Central Square, which was completed in 2016, is BREEAM Excellent certified, underlining its sustainability and strong ESG credentials.

Mark Lock of Knight Frank, the building’s asset manager, expressed excitement about PwC’s relocation, highlighting the building’s prime location and modern amenities.
