FinTech Wales Champions Drive Forward Cancer Research Fundraising Efforts

Sarah Williams-Gardener, former CEO and current Chair of Fintech Wales, teamed up with Louise O’Shea, also a former Chair of Fintech Wales and now the Group Chief Executive Officer at CFC, to tackle the challenging Sea to Summit Snowdon challenge. This multifaceted event required participants to cycle, hike, and kayak to the summit of Snowdon, underscoring their dedication to a crucial cause.

Their combined efforts, as part of a larger group, successfully raised over £6,000 for Business Beats Cancer Cymru, an initiative in support of Cancer Research UK’s essential work throughout Wales. As a cancer survivor, Sarah’s personal investment in the cause is a poignant reminder of the importance of their mission.

The fundraising momentum continues to build from a successful gala dinner last November at the Principality Stadium, which gathered more than £55,000. The community looks forward to the next gala, scheduled for February 2025.
