Based in Flintshire, North Wales, the trio (Simon Moorcroft, Jamie Moorcroft and Rich Wilcock) had previous business successes within the Fintech space – from forming startups to venture capital buyouts. It was during one of their previous business ventures together that they found, like many other businesses, cash flow was tight and they needed to access funding quickly.
“Speaking to our high street bank seemed to be an incredibly slow process for us. The application was complex with lots of form filling. There wasn’t enough choice and we really didn’t know if the product was the right ‘fit’ for us.
It felt like we were stuck in the mud. As many business owners know, you need super-fast, affordable solutions that can be presented back to you quickly, without all the red tape.
The website Capalona was born out of this frustration. We set out to create a funding platform and website that would help navigate the business funding maze quickly and effortlessly. We’ve recently added a customer portal that offers even more control, once an application has been made.
