FinTech Wales is pleased to host a roundtable event in partnership with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), bringing together regional fintech firms and the regulator for an open and collaborative discussion.

This session provides a valuable opportunity for members to engage directly with the FCA and gain insights into its regulatory priorities, innovation services, and regional engagement approach.

Key Discussion Points:

Strategy 25 Priorities: An overview of the FCA’s strategic focus, alongside key areas of alignment with FinTech Wales’ own goals for the sector.

Innovation Services: An outline of the FCA’s Innovation Services and how fintech firms can access regulatory support where appropriate.

Regional Engagement: A collaborative discussion with firms, covering:

  • Market observations and regional trends;
  • Information and support needs from the FCA and other relevant bodies;
  • Best practices for ongoing regional engagement and communication.

This roundtable will be an interactive session designed to foster dialogue and shape how the FCA and FinTech Wales can better support the growth and resilience of the Welsh fintech ecosystem.

In addition to the roundtable event on the 18th, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) will be hosting a Wales launch event – ‘The next FCA Strategy, 2025-2030’ on the evening of June 16 in central Cardiff. The event will be a networking reception, with an opportunity to bring Welsh stakeholders together to discuss the key role Wales will play in delivering the priorities outlined in the strategy.

Spaces are limited, but if you would be interested in attending please contact Emlyn Pratt (Senior External Affairs Associate at the FCA) or get in touch with the FinTech Wales team.
